Spiro & Associates Wins Two National Awards

(Dec. 20, 2016) – Spiro & Associates Marketing, Advertising, Public Relations & Brand Architecture took home Silver Award honors in The Nationals competition. The nearly 35-year-old program by the National Association of Home Builders’ National Sales and Marketing Council acknowledges building industry professionals for superior home sales and marketing achievements.

  • The Agency was challenged to create a promotion to reach a target market of local VIP Realtors to invite them to The Inlets in Bradenton to learn about the final 42 waterfront home sites. The work was done for two prominent builders, Neal Signature Homes and Medallion Home, both Sarasota-based homebuilders and Agency clients.
     
    The invitation was a full-scale electric model speedboat delivered in a custom container to a select group encouraging them to attend the exclusive “Land & See Event.” But it did not include the remote control to operate the boat. To get that, the recipients would have to attend the event.

    The strategy worked to the fullest degree, as more than 750 guests attended the reception, which created the anticipated buzz that helped springboard sales of the remaining home sites.

    Silver Award winners are the top vote recipients in each category and finalists for Gold Awards, which will be announced at a gala Jan. 10, 2017, at Hyatt Regency Orlando. A three-day judging process, including a panel of seven industry professionals from across the country, determines the winners from over 1,100 entries and 57 categories.

16 International Davey Awards

davey-awards-logo(Dec. 13, 2016) – Spiro & Associates Marketing, Advertising, Public Relations & Brand Architecture received 16 International Davey Awards in the silver category. In its 12th year, the Davey Awards recognize the achievements of the “Creative Davids” – small ad agencies that derive their strength from big ideas rather than dizzying budgets.

The Davey Awards are overseen and sanctioned by the Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts, a body of top-tier professionals from acclaimed firms like Disney, Microsoft and MTV. They judged more than 4,000 entries.

This year, the downtown Fort Myers marketing agency broke its record by a landslide.

2016 finalist for Cape coral construction industry association affiliate of the year

cccia-logo-construction-association (Nov. 23, 2016) — Thank you to the members of the Cape Coral Construction Association who have voted Spiro & Associates as a finalist for the 2016 Affiliate of the Year.

We appreciate your vote of confidence, and are proud of our contributions to the building industry in Cape Coral and elsewhere in Florida.

Providing ongoing expertise for land developers and others is just one way we support the industry.

One such example is CoCo of Cape Coral LLC, which recently sold The Villages at Entrada to D.R. Horton — “America’s Builder,” the largest homebuilder by volume in the U.S. for 14 consecutive years.

D.R. Horton purchased the 317-acre, 721-lot fully permitted and platted single-family subdivision that is one of the largest fully permitted properties in Southwest Florida west of I-75. (Nov. 21, 2016) — We missed it by two awards. Just two more Lee Building Industry Awards would have put us over the record 22 LBIA Pinnacle Awards that we were honored with in 2015.

But we’re good with that. Because we cherish this year’s 21 awards and are honored to be, well, honored, for our creative work.

The Run Down
Team Spiro 2016 Pinnacle AwardsSo here’s the run down: Spiro & Associates Marketing, Advertising, Public Relations & Brand Architecture was honored with 21 Pinnacle and Summit Awards at the Building Industry Association’s annual Building Industry Awards.

The Casablanca-themed banquet and awards presentation was held Nov. 18 at the Hyatt Regency Coconut Point Resort & Spa in Bonita Springs.

Included in the honors is Marketing Director of the Year/Associate, which is the sixth time Agency founder and Chief Creative Officer Christopher T. Spiro has earned the award. Additionally, the Agency was named Marketing Firm of the Year/Residential.

Building Industry Awards: Fun & Fab
What a great night for camaraderie, honors and a fabulous dinner! The Hyatt Regency Coconut Point Resort & Spa dining experts do it right. All first class.

After a busy Friday wrapping up another week’s worth of awesomeness for our clients, it was time to head down to Bonita Springs for the evening of building industry awards festivities.

building-industry-awaSince the gala had a Casablanca theme, we dressed the part to fit the 1940s motif. A white dinner jacket here, a red fez there, and ladies all glammed up in red dresses for the utmost in Hollywood fashion.

Upon arrival we had time to mingle with clients and other guests in an open-bar setting. We ran into some of our friends of the Agency, and heard that others were in the house, including GMA Architects & Planners, EnviroStruct LLC, ES Homes, Wright Construction Group, Chris-Tel Construction, Better Buildings Inc. and Royal Shell Real Estate. All there to celebrate their various honors, congratulations to all!

After which we headed over to the dining room for a meal fit for winners. Filet mignon, baked potato and a healthy veggie, all prepared and plated beautifully.

Then, Humphrey Bogart and Ingrid Bergman appeared on two large-screen TVs in a well-remembered clip from the classic movie, so we knew it was time for the big show to begin!

After two event presenters welcomed us, Chris Spiro took to the stage to greet guests as the Interim Chairman of the BIA’s Sales & Marketing Council. He also thanked everyone who worked behind the scenes to make the night’s events possible.

chris-spiro-building-industry-awardsAfter dinner, we headed out to a terrace overlooking the pool for some spirits and other beverages and decadent desserts. We then posed for pics by a professional photographer. Sadly the night passed quickly. It was about 10 p.m., time to go.

Overall a job well done by the BIA professionals, including event management team members Special Events Director Carrie Witt, Vice President Phillip Ford and Industry Awards Project Manager Gayla Lees. All of us at Spiro & Associates look forward to the 2017 event!

State Builders Association

(July 2015) — Spiro & Associates Marketing, Advertising & Public Relations is proud to announce we won nine Excel Awards presented to us in Orlando at the 2015 Southeast Building Conference, the largest building industry trade show in the Southeastern United States and affiliated with the Florida Home Builders Association and the National Home Builders Association. Among the awards was Marketing Director of the Year for Chris Spiro.

Excel Awards honor advertising professionals and others who make major contributions to the residential home building and commercial construction industry through superior, innovative and creative sales and marketing. The awards program is open to entrants from the 12-state and the Eastern Caribbean region.

We were the only Lee County firm to be honored, winning Excel Awards for more clients than any Agency in Florida and receiving the second highest number of awards in the state. The awards were presented at the Rosen Centre Hotel for our work on behalf of:

(November 2013) — The Building Industry Association serving three counties in Southwest Florida honored Spiro & Associates Marketing, Advertising & Public Relations with 14 Pinnacle Awards at its annual Building Industry Awards banquet at Hyatt Regency Coconut Point Resort and Spa in Bonita Springs. Among the honors, founder Christopher T. Spiro was named Associate Marketing Representative of the Year and the company was selected Marketing Firm of the Year.

Pinnacle Awards pay tribute to Building Industry Association members who have obtained an outstanding level of success and professionalism in residential design, new home sales and marketing during 2012 and 2013.

The ad agency received three Merit Awards for a “Magazine Ad” for Lutgert Companies’ Grey Oaks neighborhood titled “Drive to Estuary;” the “Overall Marketing Campaign” award for Neal Communities’ Grand Palm community in Venice; and a Merit Award for the best overall marketing campaign called “Appeal to Your Heart” for Norris Home Furnishings of Fort Myers.

The company earned nine other Pinnacle Awards including two for “Best Logo,” one for Neal Communities’ Canopy community in Naples and one for Windward Construction of Cape Coral; “Best Newspaper Ad” and “Best On-site Signage” for Neal’s Grand Palm community; and “Best Brochure” for the 10th anniversary of Koogler Homes of Cape Coral. For Lyons Housing’s Valencia model in Estero, Spiro won “Best Print Direct Mail Piece” and “Best Grand Opening” Pinnacles. “Best Print Publication” for Royal Shell Real Estate’s “HomeVue” resource guide, and “Best Website” for Royal Corinthian Homes of Fort Myers rounded out the evening.

When I opened my business in late 2011, I was a one man operation with a desire, vision and dream. I have since grown to two locations and nine employees in a short time frame with a third location on the horizon. I attribute my success to many things but a few specifically. One of those was the professional assistance and guidance I received from Chris Spiro and his team at Spiro & Associates.
