Chris Spiro up for Small Business Person of the Year

(Jan. 12, 2017) — Congratulations Chris Spiro for yet another accolade in the business world! The Florida Small Business Development Center (FSBDC) at Florida Gulf Coast University has nominated the boss for the 2017 Small Business Administration’s Small Business Person of the Year.

The Florida Small Business Development Center recognizes just one business owner each year based on several criteria, including outstanding entrepreneurship and contributions to community and charitable causes.

If he goes on to win the prestigious honor, Chris will pack his bags in April for an overnighter or two and head out to Washington, D.C., where the national winners will be announced.

Chris and the Agency received multiple awards and accolades for their work, accomplishments, creative expertise and community outreach in 2016. Chris was named Distinguished Entrepreneur of Southwest Florida, as well as the Lee Building Industry Association’s Marketing Director of the Year/Associate for the sixth time. Additionally, the LBIA named the Agency Marketing Firm of the Year/Residential, among numerous other awards in 2016.

In addition to Chris’s nomination for the Small Business Administration award, he will participate as one of several judges for the upcoming 2017 Distinguished Entrepreneur of Southwest Florida.
