HeadPinz Fundraiser

Spiro & Associates Takes Part in Twins and Pinz for Education at the HeadPinz Entertainment Center

(February 2016) — Team Spiro headed over to the new HeadPinz Entertainment Center for a little bowling, knocking down some pins, throwing back a few brews and raising money for a good cause. The “Twins and Pinz for Education” was a fun event, and we’re happy to make a donation to help out. The fundraiser benefits a Greater Fort Myers Chamber of Commerce Education Foundation program that offers grants to not-for-profit organizations and schools in Lee County.

Lynsey and Erin were the high scorers of the day, and we loved having Minnesota Twins pitcher Cameron Booser, 23, on our team who last year played with the Twins’ Cedar Rapids Kernels in Iowa. It was great meeting Cam and hanging out with him.

The chamber has a great grants program that awards dollars to programs that have a direct impact on the community. The foundation issues some $8,000 to $10,000 in grants quarterly, and since its inception in 1990 has given grants of more than $650,000. Well done!

The Spiro Twin Pins team looks forward to knocking down a few more pins at next year’s event at the lovely HeadPinz Entertainment Center!
